The European Association of Remote Sensing Laboratories (EARSeL) is a scientific network that brings together European remote sensing institutes from both academia and the commercial/industrial sectors. Founded in 1977 under the auspices of the European Space Agency, the Council of Europe, and the European Commission, EARSeL currently includes around 250 member laboratories (https://earsel.org/about-us/).
At the symposium, Vítězslav Moudrý gave a presentation titled “Reaching New Heights: How to Get High-Quality 3D Vegetation Structure Data,” which focused on the quality of global canopy height models and the availability of airborne laser scanning data across Europe.
