At the beginning of April, Vitezslav Moudry and Jan Komarek visited the University of Málaga (UMA) workplace. The first was the KHAOS group (https://khaos.uma.es/), represented by Dr. Virginia Garcia (Remote Sensing expert), and the second was ITIS (https://itis.uma.es/), represented by Prof. Pedro Merino (Internet services on mobile networks). The visit aimed to strengthen mutual relations in environmental research and gain knowledge of the parties of communication services in the 5G and IoT fields. In addition to extensive discussions on the possibilities of joint research areas and European projects with KHAOS and the use of internet services through mobile networks with ITIS, an excursion was made to the UMA research centre. This research workplace (in principle similar to the CZU smart landscape) is already equipped with a whole range of sensors, and communication between the sensors and the target server via mobile networks is operational here; autonomous operation of drones is also planned here.
