Despite all the progress in geospatial technologies, a familiar challenge persists: experts in remote sensing, GIS, and data science often speak a different language than those working in nature conservation, landscape management, or environmental policy. Both sides bring valuable insights – but without mutual understanding, much potential remains untapped. EarthBridge was created to help bridge this gap – not just as a project, but as a long-term initiative grounded in years of experience. We believe that truly effective environmental solutions require interdisciplinary thinking and people who are open to learning from one another.

With this conference, we’re building on the success of SentiMAP 2023, a one-day (and one-night!) gathering of remote sensing and conservation experts held in the very same castle venue. This time, the scope is broader – with more environmental domains and a more diverse group of stakeholders joining the conversation. Our goal is to bring together researchers and practitioners from both the technical and environmental worlds, and to create a space where ideas spark, questions are welcomed, and different perspectives can be shared – all in a friendly atmosphere and inspiring setting. We especially hope to welcome Czech stakeholders, decision-makers, and practitioners who are curious about how remote sensing and spatial data can support their work – alongside participants from across Europe and beyond.
